THE CHALLENGE
As PeopleStrategy continues to grow, we need a hungry Employee Benefits Producer who is frustrated in a small territory and is knowledgeable of all Employee Benefit product lines.
THE OPPORTUNITY
As an Employee Benefits Producer, you will prospect for business based on your local networks, connections, and communities. This role is vital to our success in all our product lines. Experienced benefits producers will exhibit proficiency in various benefits strategies, employer contribution strategies, value differentiation between HSA and traditional medical insurance, and alternative financing, including level-funded and self-funded solutions.
Producer, Employee Benefits responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Identify, develop, and maintain various channels for building prospect pipelines and referral opportunities.
- Actively participate in relevant marketing and networking events.
- Understand the correlation between various sales activities and sales results; consistent documentation of all sales-related activity to regularly examine the sales pipeline and flow through the funnel; examine activity and make adjustments to influence different results.
- Foster and nurture ongoing relationships with clients, leadership, key stakeholders, health plan carriers, and vendors.
- Assist in the development and delivery of materials to support the proposal, sale, and enrollment process, including enrollment meetings.
- Prioritize prospects based on opportunity potential and fit/alignment with PeopleStrategy products.
- Advance highest-priority prospects through the stages of client-focused sales.
- Develop knowledge of the market portfolio of carrier solutions and competing programs
- Coordination with Benefits Administrators and other Third-Party Administrators or carriers as needed.
- Consistent learning and sharing of information related to policies and procedures, insurance market, competitors, emerging trends, etc.
- Work cross-departmentally with technical and non-technical resources.

THE SKILL SET
Producer, Employee Benefits will possess the following qualifications or the equivalent:
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- Must have an active Life/Health license.
- Property and Casualty license desired.
- Strong knowledge of all Employee Benefit product lines, including federal and state legislative and compliance requirements.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment.
- Must be detail-oriented and possess strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Successful B2B sales experience (professional services or employee benefits preferred) with experience selling to the senior executive level.
- Ability to establish priorities and meet objectives with changing demands.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to maintain positive working relationships.
